Water for All
God’s Children—Thanks to all who
came and helped make our Vacation Bible school a success! We had about
10 children who came and enjoyed all the activities. Our Sr. High’s got
to do an overnight, and everyone enjoyed the water carnival and picnic
to cap the festivities. Thanks to all who brought stuffed animals for
our ‘ark’. They will go to The Haven, a women and children’s shelter.

Youth
Retreat to Ghost Ranch—February 29-March 2
Nine LPPC young people spent the first weekend in March at the
Santa Fe Presbytery Annual Senior High Retreat at Ghost Ranch, led by
seniors from Austin College in Texas. Our kids are meeting young people
from all over northern New Mexico, sharing in study, worship, outdoor
adventure, and faith-building.
SHOW AN INTEREST in our youth—ask them about their retreat
experiences and share high points of your own! Participants will be
making a presentation to the congregation after their return. Don’t
miss it!

HEIFER
Mission
Project—Joy to the World!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the
Heifer Project during December, 2007. Under the able leadership of
Austin M, our young people raised enough money in their mission effort
to purchase a water buffalo and training for a family who will use it as
a major stepping stone to self-sufficiency, while being nourished by its
protein-rich milk. Congratulations!
Meanwhile, our kids have learned
important lessons about poverty in the world and experienced the joy of
giving their time and energy to help restore the balance of justice and
bring a small measure of true Joy to the World.
